O-type silver plated sealing ring is the key sealing element of nuclear safety level I equipment, and its sealing performance is directly related to the safe operation of nuclear power plant. For a long time, this product has been monopolized by foreign companies. The regular maintenance of domestic nuclear power plants every 12-18 months can only be purchased from foreign companies at high prices. There are two technical difficulties in the O type silver plated seal ring: 1. Plating silver with a thickness of 300 microns on the stainless steel pipe. The silver coating is required to be smooth and fine, but no additives are allowed to be used. 2. Working at 350 ℃ for a long time, and bearing deformation, the thick silver coating must have good adhesion with the stainless steel pipe.  

Experts and electroplating enterprises in the domestic electroplating industry once had nothing to do with the silver plating technology of O-ring. Because of this, the supply of our nuclear power plant seal rings was firmly controlled by foreign companies.

At a time when all major electroplating companies in China were hesitant, Aidesheng electroplating station came out, and with the confidence that we would never betray the trust of customers, we buried our heads, sank our hearts, and worked hard bit by bit.

Through the close cooperation between the R&D team and the front-line workers, we finally combined thick silver and nickel alloy perfectly at the end of 2018.

The combination of silver and nickel alloy is still good when plating 300 μ m thick silver at 350 ℃. The success of these two technologies marks that Aidesheng has reached the international leading level in silver plating technology for O-ring.

At present, the O type silver plated seal ring made by Aidesheng electroplating is being tested in Qinshan Nuclear Power Station and Sanmen Nuclear Power Station, and will be put on the market in batches soon. The test results show that the properties of the O type silver plated seal ring produced by Aidesheng electroplating can be comparable to those produced by foreign companies. This obviously indicates that the era when the sealing ring of nuclear power plant is monopolized by foreign companies is coming to an end.
